DMPED's Closer: June Edition 2019

Monday, July 1, 2019

Farewell, Brian Kenner!

Well, it’s been an amazing four plus years with Brian Kenner as the leader for planning and economic development in the District. He was appointed by the Mayor for her first term and has accomplished so much in such a short time – The Wharf, St. Elizabeths East Campus, the Entertainment and Sports Arena, Walter Reed’s campus, and numerous other projects and initiatives for our 702,000 residents that live here today. We all know that DC is the best place to live, work and play – and that is partly due to the work done here at DMPED.

We also knew that Amazon was potentially coming to the District or somewhere near – and while we know that it’s always #ObviouslyDC – Amazon picked a few Metro stops away in Crystal City. Brian Kenner will be a huge asset to their developing team and we wish him the absolute best in showcasing the tech firm’s regional economic issues in the DMV and around the U.S.

Stay tuned for the next great leader!
